How to Find Your Instagram URL

Your profile link, post links and Reel links — on phone or desktop, in a few taps.

Your Instagram URL is simply instagram.com followed by your username — for example, instagram.com/bigfollowers. You never have to hunt for it.

Three ways, depending on where you are.

Type it yourself

instagram.com/yourusername — in a browser address bar. It works even if you are logged out.

Copy it in the app

Open your profile, tap Share profile, then Copy link. The link is ready to paste anywhere.

On desktop

Open instagram.com, click your profile picture, and copy the address from the browser bar.

Changed your username?

Your URL changes with it. Old links to the previous username stop working — update the link in your bio, website and anywhere else you pasted it.

Post and Reel URLs

You need these when a tool asks for a post link — for example, our free likes trial asks for one.

  • In the app: open the post or Reel, tap the three dots, then Link — or Share, then Copy link.
  • On desktop: open the post and copy the address bar. A post link looks like instagram.com/p/ABC123, a Reel like instagram.com/reel/ABC123.

A link only works for other people if your account is public. Private-account links show a login wall to anyone who does not follow you — see how to make your account public.

What is my Instagram URL?

instagram.com/yourusername. Replace “yourusername” with your handle, without the @. That is your profile link everywhere — browser, bio, business card.

Why does my Instagram link not work?

The usual causes: a typo in the username, the username changed, or the account is private and the viewer is logged out or not a follower. Check the spelling first — then the privacy setting.

Can I change my Instagram URL?

Change your username and the URL changes with it. Go to Edit profile, type the new username, and save. Old links break, so update them wherever you shared them.
